How it works - High Road Capital

Performance-Based Truck Ownership Program

High Road Capital offers qualified CDL drivers access to late-model semi-trucks through a performance-based ownership program. This program is designed for professional drivers who already know how to operate a truck profitably and want a transparent, structured path to ownership without credit checks, down payments, or surprise repair bills.

This is not a lease-to-own program and not a starter program. Ownership is earned through consistent performance.

What We Provide

Trucks in the program include:

  • 2020–2021 Peterbilt 579 sleeper trucks

  • Full maintenance and repairs for normal wear and tear

  • Carrier-provided insurance and fuel cards

  • ELD and dash camera

  • IRP and IFTA filings

  • Occupational accident coverage

  • Compliance and back-office support

Drivers select an approved carrier and operate the truck under that carrier.

Maintenance & Damage Responsibility

High Road Capital covers normal maintenance and repairs required due to ordinary wear and tear.

Damage or repairs resulting from driver negligence, abuse, misuse, accidents, failure to report issues promptly, or violations of program rules are the driver’s responsibility and may be deducted from weekly settlements.

How the Money Works

Each week, the carrier pays High Road Capital directly.

From the carrier settlement, operating costs such as fuel, insurance, tolls, and other carrier deductions are applied. Once the truck qualifies for the standard split, the remaining net revenue is split between the driver and High Road Capital.

Who This Program Is For

This program is designed for drivers who:

  • Already know how to run a truck profitably

  • Treat equipment as if they already own it

  • Understand freight selection, fuel management, and downtime control

  • Are focused on long-term ownership, not short-term cash

  • Want accountability, structure, and a faster path to ownership

If this does not describe you today, this is likely not the right program — and that’s okay. We are selective by design to protect the trucks, the drivers, and the integrity of the program.

Our Foundation

High Road Capital was built on the belief that opportunity should be earned, supported, and shared.

We believe in helping hard-working drivers build something real for themselves and their families by creating a structured path toward ownership.

Our leadership is grounded in values like integrity, fairness, service, and personal responsibility. We believe that when people are given the right tools, support, and accountability, they can accomplish more than they thought possible.

This program is designed for drivers who are ready to grow, commit, and take ownership of their future. The ones who succeed here are the ones willing to stay disciplined, consistent, and focused on long-term results.

Performance Based Ownership Path

Drivers earn ownership based on how much profit the truck consistently generates for High Road Capital.

Average Weekly Earnings to High Road Capital → Time to Ownership

  • $1,000 → 3 years

  • $1,250 → 2.5 years

  • $1,500 → 2 years

  • $1,750 → 1.5 years

  • $2,000 → 1 year

There are no credit checks, no down payments, and no buyout gimmicks. Ownership is earned through performance over time.

Proving Ground (First 4 Weeks)

All new drivers begin with a four-week Proving Ground period.

During this initial evaluation period:

  • High Road Capital will retain up to $750 per week from the truck’s net earnings

  • This amount is not a cap on earnings

  • Weekly results may vary, but performance is evaluated on a four-week average basis

At the end of the first four weeks:

  • The truck must have generated an average of at least $750 per week for High Road Capital

  • Drivers who do not meet this standard may be removed from the program

Ongoing Performance Requirement

After completing the Proving Ground, the truck must consistently generate at least $1,000 per week for High Road Capital.

Drivers who fail to maintain this average may be removed so the truck can be reassigned. This standard keeps the program stable, fair, and profitable for everyone involved.

Standard Profit Split

Once performance requirements are met, remaining net revenue is split:

  • 50% to the driver

  • 50% to High Road Capital

Carrier Flexibility

Drivers may choose any approved carrier, subject to the following guidelines:

  • Minimum 30 days per carrier

  • Maximum of three carrier changes per year

  • $750 transition reserve required when switching carriers

These limits protect earnings stability and minimize downtime.

Driver Responsibilities & Compliance

Drivers are independent contractors and are fully responsible for ensuring the truck is operated legally and professionally at all times. This includes:

  • Maintaining an active carrier lease

  • ELD compliance

  • DOT compliance

  • Required decals and documentation

  • Road-legal condition of the truck

Failure to maintain compliance may result in removal from the program.

Vehicle Use & Conduct Policy (Required)

All High Road Capital trucks are professional commercial assets. The following rules apply without exception:

  • No smoking in the truck

  • No passengers (including friends or family)

  • No pets or animals

Violations may result in:

  • Immediate financial penalties

  • Required professional cleaning or remediation at the driver’s expense

  • Suspension or termination from the program, depending on severity

Drivers must acknowledge and agree to these policies before a truck is assigned.

Walk-Away Option

Life happens. Drivers may exit the program by returning the truck in proper operating condition and settling any outstanding balances. There are no forced buyouts or debt traps.

Ownership Transfer

Ownership is earned through sustained performance over time. Title transfer occurs only after all program requirements are successfully completed. No partial ownership or equity is granted prior to program completion.
